swegener: I was lucky enough to meet Joe last year while visiting his school to talk to students. He was such a warm and welcoming man. Even in his eighties he was constantly looking to grow in his art. He asked me a million questions about digital comics, digital coloring, etc. To watch him work with the advanced students was inspiring.
Meeting Joe, and the excellent instructors that he has filled his school with, was a real honor.
